TTR ANDALUCÍA is a new enterprise settled in Seville which has been offering a vast array of services in the field of English language for several years, some of them are unique in our autonomous region, Andalusia.

Nowadays, after a detailed research into the field of language courses for nonnative speakers and taking into account the real needs of the foreign students, we are setting in motion Spanish courses for foreigners. For that reason, we offer high quality courses for a very economical price so that students will be able to enjoy our city, Seville, and its charming atmosphere and monuments. Simultaneously, they will learn Spanish in a very professional way.

Moreover, TTR Andalucía is property of English Media Group SL, whose main office is in the Andalusian capital and located in the historic city center. Our central office is adjacent to the “Plaza de España” (Spanish square) and the main building of the University of Seville. In addition, our office is near the Cathedral (about 10 minutes walking) and the “Alcázares” (about 5 minutes walking). Santa Cruz neighborhood, considered as one of the most emblematic and charming areas of the city is only 4 minutes away from our office. Regarding public transport, we should mention that the bus station “Prado de San Sebastián” is located at the back of our installations where you will also find the main urban bus stops, the “metrocentro” (an urban tramway) and also a very central stop of the underground line.

The building where our office is located was designed by Aníbal González in 1929, with a capacity of 160 m² and it contains 7 classrooms in which there is space for at least 20 students.

STUDENT CARD

For a stay of 3 months or less than 5 days a visa is not required:

-Foreign students are provided with a student card in order to attend Spanish courses. However, if the student plans to look for a job during the stay it would be necessary to complete the visa application.

The staff of TTR Andalucía will freely advise and accompany the student during the visa application. Likewise we offer advice and documentation about how to apply for work authorization (part-time job only) during one´s stay in Spain.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM

• From 4 to 8 students per classroom (this means personalized attention to the student)
• Minimum age: 18 years old
• A certificate will be given at the end of the course
• Monday to Friday lessons of 4 hours (20 hours per week)
• Oprtional History lessons will take place Thursday afternoons
• We offer beginner courses for those who want to improve their language skills. At the end of this course the student will be given a certificate of attendance which includes the level of the language acquired in our courses (proved by a final exam included in the course price).
• Books and didactic materials are not included on the course price

(The course price includes the education and the materials given by the teachers during lessons. The necessary book for this course can be acquired at the reception desk at the price of 30€)

COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION

The Spanish courses are divided into five different levels:

Beginners:

Previous knowledge of Spanish is not required. At the end of this level, the student will be able to manage several situations, using structures of present simple and future related to basic daily needs.

Intermediate:

We recommend this level when the student has a basic knowledge of the Spanish language or when he or she has studied Spanish some time ago but needs a revision course.

Advanced:

The progress made in this course is significant. At the end of this course, the student should be able to manage complex situations using not only indicative but also subjunctive structures. We will work with very extended vocabulary from different fields.

Superior:

At this level the student should be capable of correcting mistakes (own and others´), improving pronunciation and learning how to use idioms, sayings and linkers. At the end of this level the student should be able to take part in a fluent conversation about any subject.

Proficiency:

At this level lessons will be exclusively for debates in which cultural subjects will be very important. This way the student will enrich his/her knowledge about the Hispanic world as well as improve his/her Spanish.

CALENDAR

• 5% discount per person of the total price for student groups (from 2 to 4)
• 10% discount per person of the total price for student groups (from 5 to 8)
• From 8 to 25 students, consult the price with the company.

The official course start and finish dates are given below:

•  The Holy Week (Semana Santa) is from the 29 th of March to the 4th of April. The company will close on those days, although the students could go to the office with a previously arranged appointed.

•  The “Feria de abril” is not a holiday time, so there will be classes and in the afternoons we will organise an optional visit to the Feria.

1st Week : Scene Tour

MONDAY

Sevilla Bus Tour – City Sigthseeing

The first day and to welcome you, we will take the tourist bus, just a great way to travel around the capital.

•  Duration : approx. 1 hour

•  Hop On and Hop Off as much as you like at any of the bus stops on the route

•  We will visit the most important places and we will get off in tour special stops:

• Paseo de Colón
• Plaza de España
• Isla Mágica
• Monasterio de la Cartuja.

•  The bus has the best system of multilingual audio and each passenger is given a new set of headphone.

This Monday, as a welcome present, we will offer you a picnic lunch with free sandwiches and drinks.

TUESDAY

Flamenco Show!

Tuesday night you will experience the best Falmenco show of the city. This authentic art form will enlighten you on the strong and passionate history of Spain through music and dance.

Meeting Point at 19:00.

WEDNESDAY

Guadalquivir River Cruise

On Wednesday afternoon we will cruise through the Guadalquivir River. It enables visitors to gain an appreciation of the beauty of local monuments such as Torre del Oro. The tour consists of a one hour boat ride on the river enjoying the differences between the classic and modern Sevilla.

THURSDAY

On Thursday afternoon there will be optional History classes, so there is not a programmed activity. In any case, we recommend that you to visit the Church of El Salvador and pubs which are around the square, where you will also enjoy the Sevillian environment.

FRIDAY

Calle Betis and Torre del Oro Route

On Friday afternoon we will visit Calle Betis and Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold), and also the neighborhood of Triana.

2nd week  

MONDAY

Parque María Luisa and museum & gallery

On Monday we will visit the Parque María Luisa from 17:00 to 19:00, with the option to visit two museums: Archaeological Museum and Museum of Popular Arts and Customs. We will go for a walk around the entire park.

TUESDAY

Guided route: Historic Center

On Tuesday we will go for a walk through the shopping center and the most significant churchs.

Free time for shopping.

WEDNESDAY

Tapas Route

On Wednesday afternoon we will experience an amazing route. We will visit a few pubs where we will sample the most tasteful and typical tapas of Andalusia.

* The company will invite you to have a drink and to taste a tapa in two of the all pubs we will visit.

THURSDAY

On Thursday afternoon there are optional History classes, so there is not a programmed activity. Anyway, we recommend that you keep on visiting the best spots of the capital.

* This is the leisure activities programme for two weeks. We offer other programmes with more activities and routes, such as “Arenal Route”. This option will increase the base price.

* During weekends we offer you optional visits outside Seville.

* TTR Andalucía offers, at a no-cost, a list with the most important monuments and museums, free day tickets, a street plan or map of the city and the like. You will be informed in every moment during your stay in Seville.
